Toni Marie Preston (she/her) is a macro social worker and activist from the south suburbs of Chicago. She attended Illinois State University where she studied sociology. During her time at ISU, she served as co-president of Pride and worked with staff to advance DEI initiatives. She graduated with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Sociology. Toni pursued her passion for activism and non-profit work by attending The Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC. While at UIC, she worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Gender and Sexuality Center. In this role, she created and facilitated new programs for Black and Brown queer and trans students. Toni also facilitated SEL groups with middle and high school aged girls. Toni is passionate about educating people on the realities of marginalized communities through training and technical assistance.
