Jared Lewis is a native of South Shore who works at the intersection of economic development, small business, public policy, tech and social enterprise. He is the Chairman of SSA#42 a local tax district that funds expanded services and programs through a localized property tax levy. Most recently, Jared worked as a Global Program Manager for Airbnb where he led a global user education and mobilization program in nine countries and eight regions. In additional to consulting focused on small business, marketing and intersectionality, Jared is a student at the University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy. Earlier this year, Jared served as the Organizing Chair for Pride South Side, branded as the first multi-cultural pride festival on the Southside of Chicago. As of his appointment, Jared is the youngest board member appointed to the Howard Brown Board of Directors.
