This June is Full of TRUE LOVE!
At Howard Brown we’re excited to announce that we’re collaborating with Chicago artist Bob Faust to celebrate Pride month. Throughout June, we’ll be exploring what TRUE LOVE means to us and how each of us embodies those two simple words.
Exploring the meaning of TRUE LOVE
As human beings seeking self-improvement, empowerment, and connection in life, each of us embodies TRUE LOVE. Our daily thoughts, actions, and contributions have the potential to manifest TRUE LOVE into the world. Conceived by artist Bob Faust, TRUE LOVE is Howard Brown Health’s guiding message for Pride month and beyond. With installations at various Howard Brown clinics and Brown Elephant stores, including a main interactive sculpture at Howard Brown Health Clark St. in Rogers Park, we encourage your TRUE LOVE to shine through.

We know you’ve been waiting since last year to experience Chicago Pride all over again. And we’ve been preparing for a month full of events and wanted to share everything all in one place. Take a look at these fun (and delicious!) opportunities to support the LGBTQ community, suppor Howard Brown Health, and celebrate TRUE LOVE!

Saturday, June 3 | Ask a Doctor at Gospel Run
Howard Brown Health 63rd Street will be there with an Ask a Doctor tent to help you schedule an appointment or provide a free diabetes screening.
Saturday, June 17 | Back 2 Basics Ball: Hollywood Edition
Join us for the annual ballroom competition as we celebrate our community, share our amazing gifts, and remember those who paved the way for us. With free HIV/STI screenings, PReP information and over $4,000 in cash prizes, it’s shaping up to be a great event.
Saturday, June 24 | Free HIV/STI screenings at Navy Pier Pride
Howard Brown is offering free HIV/STI screenings at Navy Pier’s annual Pier Pride event. It’s a great time to get tested with your partner!
Sunday, June 25 | Chicago Pride Parade
Join Howard Brown and Whole Foods Market to celebrate everything LGBTQ and show your TRUE LOVE at the annual Pride parade! Contact Mindy Neveaux with any questions about participating in this year’s parade at MindyN@howardbrown.org
Tuesday, June 27 | National HIV Testing Day
Our Outreach team will be providing HIV/STI screenings at Steamworks, with incentives for couples who get their screenings together!

This month Howard Brown has been selected as the charity of the month by the following restaurants and businesses:
GOT HER BACK (Lakeview)
Don’t miss this variety show of female-identifying performers on June 12 where ALL of the proceeds from the show go to Broadway Youth Center! Monday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. at MCL Chicago, 3110 N. Sheffield. Tickets are $8.
Range Restaurant (Lincoln Park)
June 15 is Community Night at Range, and they’ll be donating 20% of sales to Howard Brown.
DMK Burger Bar (Lakeview)
From June 21 – 27, all proceeds from the Pride specialty cocktail support Broadway Youth Center.
Flowers for Dreams (West Town)
For the entire month of June, Howard Brown will receive 25% of all Flowers for Dreams profits.
360 Chicago Observation Deck (Architects Corner Bar & Café)
For all of June, 100% of proceeds from Pride-themed Cocktails will benefit Howard Brown.
Soap Distillery
For the month of June, this local, artisanal soap company will be donating 50% of their special rainbow soap bar to Broadway Youth Center. Order a bar online on their Etsy shop here!
