Howard Brown Health Announces Steven Glass as Chief Operating Officer
Glass Brings More Than 20 Years of Healthcare and Leadership Experience
(April 5, 2022 – Chicago, IL) – Today, Howard Brown Health announced Steven Glass (he/him) as its new Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the workflows and patient experience in all of Howard Brown’s clinic locations, including Broadway Youth Center.
“Clinic operations are a crucial component of delivering an affirming and efficient patient experience. Steven’s leadership in the healthcare field will provide a solid foundation for Howard Brown at our existing and future clinics,” said David Ernesto Munar, President and CEO of Howard Brown.
An experienced leader working with underserved populations, Glass has devoted his career to reducing disparities in health by helping to grow, stabilize and strengthen primary and specialty care throughout the Chicagoland area and, most recently in Ohio. His key accomplishments include the successful launch of CountyCare, Cook County Health’s pioneer Medicaid managed care health plan; expansion of primary care health services into healthcare deserts and to underserved populations at Access Community Health Network, and; execution of new delivery systems for technology, laboratory and pharmacy (340B) care while also at Access.
“Increasing access to healthcare for underserved communities is my passion. Through reducing barriers, centering patient experience, and refining clinic workflows, I’m excited to support Howard Brown’s mission to serve the LGBTQ+ community,” said Steven Glass.
Glass lives in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park with his husband, daughter and son. He enjoys cooking, travel, home improvement and time with his family.
