Introducing Howard Brown Health
New Website, Logo and Name Reflect the Vibrant Communities Served by Chicago’s LGBTQ Healthcare Provider
(Chicago, IL, November 24, 2015) – Today, Howard Brown Health unveiled a new look for the organization to better communicate its mission of expanding access to quality, affirming healthcare for all who need it. The digital and visual changes at Howard Brown Health – created pro bono by the award-winning creative agency Digital Kitchen – includes a logo, modern and user-friendly website, and name change to “Howard Brown Health,” from Howard Brown Health Center.
“The new look is designed to represent the energy and vitality of those we serve,” said David Ernesto Munar, President and CEO of Howard Brown Health. “Our patients, clients and customers are diverse and fierce. They inspire us, and our organization should mirror the people that come through our doors. The services we provide are at the forefront of affirming and compassionate healthcare and wellness services. Our new brand will honor and reflect that vibe.”
“We are honored to have touched the beloved Howard Brown brand and to work with their passionate team,” said Camm Rowland, Executive Creative Director at Digital Kitchen. “The rebranding, with its many colors and patterns, represents Howard Brown Health intersecting with a diverse and vibrant community. All the visual elements combine to create an identity that is contemporary but not trendy, fabulous but not flashy—all while reflecting the high quality of care Howard Brown provides.”
The overhaul also includes new naming conventions for Howard Brown Health’s clinics: “Aris” will be known as “Howard Brown Health Halsted,” the Sheridan Road site as “Howard Brown Health Sheridan,” and the forthcoming Rogers Park clinic as “Howard Brown Health Clark.” Howard Brown Health’s Broadway Youth Center and Brown Elephant stores will retain their established logos.
Munar added, “We’re excited to continue moving forward as a cutting edge healthcare organization in Chicago. As we expand capacity to serve new patients and provide a deeper bench of healthcare services that are affirming of all identities, regardless of income, Howard Brown Health is proud to present a new look and feel that is welcoming to everyone.”
