Kelly O’Brien

Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. These experiences cultivated and shaped Kelly’s system-level solution thinking which he applies in an effort to create a more equitable society. Kelly is currently a senior manager at Grainger where he leads teams in the pursuit of providing customers the products they need to get their jobs done. At his prior company, Kelly was a vocal advocate for DEI, creating the first LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group in the company and actively contributing to a variety of DEI initiatives. In his free time, Kelly can typically be found with his partner, Patrick, and their labs, Kimball and Damen, spending time outside, playing soccer, Pelotoning, reading, listening to NPR, or watching the newest Marvel flick.
