Statement on Fire at Howard Brown Health Construction Site in East Lakeview

At approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, a fire started in one of the trailers on the construction site of Howard Brown Health’s future clinic location at 3501 N. Halsted. Howard Brown is cooperating with police and fire department investigators to determine the cause of the blaze. The construction site experienced minimal damage to some equipment and parts of the walkway canopy; no one was injured. Howard Brown is currently assessing the situation and will proceed with construction as soon as possible.
