Rather than have our dental patients wait for sliding scale or Medicaid dental care, they can go to our partners, Dr. Steven Koos, DDS, MD and Dr. Jamal Flowers, DDS.

I was very excited when Dr. Robin Gay, Howard Brown’s Dental Director (whom I’ve known and worked with for many years now personally and clinically), reached out to me over a year ago to develop a “private practice alliance” of sorts with Howard Brown to expand access to oral and maxillofacial surgery.
I am thrilled to be an extension of Howard Brown’s medical and dental teams to help positively affect the gaps and inequalities in healthcare within the LGBTQQIAAP community. Providing oral surgery services is an essential component of fostering holistic health. Dr. Koos of Ora Surgery and Implant Studio has 20 years of experience working with dental patients. He specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and dental implants. He works with Howard Brown patients to improve their oral health and perform surgical standpoint extractions, bone graphs, and imprints.

Dr. Jamal Flowers of South Loop Dental Specialists is an endodontist who specializes in root canals. He saves the tooth and tries to preserve the tooth from infection. The alternative to root canal is extraction, and if there is an opportunity to save the tooth, he’s all for that!
