Stefanie Clark,

Stefanie Clark

Council Member at Large

(she/her/hers)

Stefanie found the resources of Howard Brown very beneficial in her Gender Affirming Journey, which she commenced in 2016.  Today, she serves on Howard Brown’s Aging Services Advisory Board and Vernita Gray Council for Philanthropy because of her grateful patient experiences.  As part of her philanthropic leadership on the Vernita Gray Council she is committed to being a monthly Howard Brown donor through the Heartbeat Donor Program, makes significant annual contributions as a member of the Leadership Council, and has joined the Continuum Legacy Society with a bequest through her trust.

Stefanie spends significant time supporting the LGBT youth community as well as working with the senior community. She is a member of The Village Chicago, a virtual community of people over 50 years of age, who have retired voluntarily or involuntarily, but who are not ready to quit.  Through The Village she serves on the LGBTA Committee.  When Stefanie is not speaking at colleges, universities and retirement centers about diversity issues, you can find her greeting guests as a volunteer with the Art Institute of Chicago.  Stefanie lives in Edgewater with her roommate, Jane Callahan-Moore, who manages the Heart to Heart Senior Ministries in Edgewater Community.
