Colton Smith is a consultant with expertise in accounting, finance, and regulation. He is an incoming associate at McKinsey & Company, one of the most prestigious consulting firms globally, where he will contribute to a wide array of projects across multiple industries and functions, small and large. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant for PwC, the top-ranked accounting firm in the country, where he specialized in financial audits of private companies and led the regional LGBTQ+ affinity network for the Carolinas.
Colton holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. He received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Wofford College. Throughout his four degrees, he maintained a perfect grade point average. Although a new transplant to Chicago, Colton is passionate about improving equity and access across the city through Howard Brown’s mission of community empowerment.
