Howard Brown Health and Cook County to Join with the City, State, and Community on LGBTQ Healthcare Policies

Commissioner Bridget Gainer hosts round-table discussion addressing the unique healthcare concerns for the LGBTQ Community

Chicago, Ill. – On October 11, Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer will be joined in her district by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle for a discussion on LGBTQ healthcare access at Howard Brown Health Clark. This important conversation is happening in partnership with Howard Brown Health’s President & CEO David E. Munar. During this roundtable, community leaders and elected officials will discuss numerous topics related to healthcare access for LGBTQ+ people in Chicago and Cook County – including housing insecurity for LGBTQ youth and access to healthcare services.

This is an opportunity for engagement that will continue the ongoing relationship between community and representatives invested in their care. The LGBTQ+ community has unique health challenges that providers and policymakers should be aware of and how best to connect patients and resources.
