Effective December, 1, 2021, prescription services for the Illinois Department of Public Health’s Medication Assistance Program (MAP) and PrEP4IL will be transitioned from CVS Pharmacy to Walgreens Pharmacy.

All PrEP4IL and ADAP/MAP prescription refills will be automatically transferred from CVS to Walgreens on 12/1/2021.

If You Receive Medications Through ADAP/MAP or PrEP4IL

  • Fill your prescriptions through CVS until November 30, and starting December 1, refill your prescriptions at Walgreens
  • You may receive a telephone call from a Walgreens pharmacy representative to discuss your pharmacy needs.
  • Expect a prescription benefit identification card to be mailed to your mailing address before December 1, 2021. This card contains helpful instructions and billing information for your prescription services.
  • If it is time to refill your prescriptions after December 1 and you have not received a call from a Walgreens pharmacy representative, call any Walgreens on the list of 21 stores (English) (en español) to fill your prescription.
