Shaun’ta Whitehead-Ade, MHA, has dedicated her professional life to high-quality, efficient care delivery and population health management to assure a more equitable health care system. Prior to joining Howard Brown, Shaun’ta has served in various management capacities in both the nonprofit and private healthcare sections with over thirteen years of experience.

Shaun’ta joined Howard Brown Health in 2015 as the Director of Practice Operations where her passion for serving the underserved came to fruition. Shaun’ta was instrumental in Howard Brown Health’s significant growth operationalizing seven new clinic sites in four years steadily increasing the number of people served across Chicago. As the Director of Practice Operations, Shaun’ta is responsible for strategic leadership of integration, standardization and change among the health system’s structures while directing all aspects of FQHC operations, overseeing 120+ employees in practice operations across 11 clinic sites and ancillary services. She also played a central role in implemented the AIDET customer service framework, Howard Brown’s first phone auto attendant system, and launched the Press Ganey patient satisfaction survey tool. She has proven expertise in process improvement, strategic initiatives, operational concepts, and regulatory compliance.  It is these skills that provide Shaun’ta with the expertise to analyze, realign, create and grow organizations to increase efficiencies and profit margins.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Aurora University and a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from St. Francis University. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association.
