Charles Thomas is an experienced writer, project manager, and musician. A senior writer with Northwestern University’s Office of Alumni Relations and Development, he is also founding partner of Third Coast WordWorks, a copywriting and communications consulting group specializing in the areas of education and the arts. His writing on arts and culture has been featured in the New York Times, Classical Singer, Time Out New York, and Time Out Chicago, among other publications. Formerly arts development supervisor for Chicago Public Schools, Charles directed the development and publication of the Chicago Guide for Teaching and Learning in the Arts, the city of Chicago’s first multi-disciplinary arts curriculum framework for primary and secondary school students. As a professional singer, he has performed at concert venues, opera houses, and jazz clubs in Europe and the US. He is a graduate of Yale University and the New England Conservatory of Music.
