Diane joined Howard Brown Health in 2015. At Howard Brown, she is responsible for private fundraising and for marketing and communications activities. Diane has almost two decades of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management. Previously, she was Vice President of External Relations at Inspiration Corporation, a Chicago homeless services agency. At Inspiration Corporation, she created a major gifts program and laid the groundwork for a $6.3 million capital campaign for which she provided staff leadership. Diane has also worked at Feeding America, where she was a major and planned giving officer, and at the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago, where she was Director of Alumni Affairs and the Fund for SSA. Before embarking on her development career, she worked in corporate communications at Chicago advertising agencies Cramer-Krasselt and Bayer Bess Vanderwarker, where her responsibilities included media relations, internal and external communications, and agency marketing. Diane has a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Russian studies from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she also volunteers as an alumni interviewer and job shadow host. In addition, she volunteers to restore wetlands and prairie with The Wetlands Initiative and to support minors in the foster care system with CASA Cook County.
