Aaron joined Howard Brown Health in 2019 and worked his way up from an HR Project Manager to Interim Director prior to serving as the Vice President of Human Resources.

Prior to Howard Brown, Aaron served as the County Board Chairman of Lake County, Illinois, and as a state government and congressional staffer.

While serving as the chief elected official of Lake County, Aaron oversaw the county budget and administration including compensation and benefits for the County’s more than 2,000 employees, risk management, and labor relations with the County’s 11 bargaining units. Aaron also previously served as the Chair of the Health and Community Services Committee charged with oversight of the Lake County Health Department, a federally qualified health center (FQHC).  During his time with Lake County, Aaron founded the Lake County Mental Health Coalition focused on expanding capacity and access for mental healthcare.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College and a Master of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He holds a PHR certification and earned a Professional in Human Resources Certificate from DePaul University.

Aaron’s proudest accomplishment is his sobriety and his work to help others who struggle with addiction.
