MyChart: Your New Patient Portal Experience
Howard Brown Health is currently implementing a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The new EHR system will link all Howard Brown departments and providers, creating a single electronic record of a patient’s medical history. This agency-wide implementation system will transform the delivery of patient care, enhancing patient safety, treatment, and service. As we make this transition, patients may experience brief delays or extended wait times. We appreciate your patience as we implement these improvements.
The new EHR system will support functions related to patient and population health information. These records host patient data from a wide range of demographics and support functions such as but not limited to scheduling, patient registration, referrals, clinical workflows, images, results, and billing information.
Howard Brown chose to make this change to improve quality of care for our patients, improving provider tools and workflows.
For patients, the new system will provide access to healthcare records via the MyChart application, our new patient portal. MyChart offers patients personalized and secure on-line access to portions of their medical records. It enables patients to securely use the Internet or app to manage and receive information about their health. MyChart is also available in several different languages.
With MyChart, patients can:
- View all of health information in one place.
- See medications, test results, appointments, medical bills, estimates, etc.
- Quickly schedule appointments and find care.
- Send a message to a doctor and care team.
- Take care of children and other family members, all from one account.
Patients will need to sign up again to use MyChart. Prior to launch, we will let patients know how to sign up and activate their MyChart account.
