COVID-19 Services, Hours of Operation, and Program Updates

Please bear with us as we work with our service provider to resolve this issue in a timely manner. In response to the pandemic, Howard Brown has launched new initiatives to meet the need of patients and community members.
TELEHEALTH VISITS: In order to continue serving patients with high-quality healthcare, Howard Brown Health has invested in remote appointments for a variety of medical and behavioral health needs. This new mode of care is called “telehealth” and allows you to see and speak with a provider from the safety of your own home. Learn more on our telehealth page.
Response From Key Programs & Services
Behavioral Health Services: Behavioral Health Services are offering virtual telehealth sessions, and most support/counseling groups are meeting virtually. Please contact your provider or group facilitator for more information. New patients should call 773.388.1600 to request an intake appointment.
Broadway Youth Center/Youth Services: Even though medical services are being rerouted to Howard Brown Health Sheridan, drop-in services are still offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 – 11 a.m.
Community Testing Sites & Outreach Services: We provide access to free prevention and risk reduction supplies, as well as at-home rapid HIV screening/counseling. Request free at-home prevention supplies at howardbrown.org/PreventionSupply
Dental Services: All dental services are closed until further notice. Teledentistry will be offered soon. Stay tuned for more information.
HIV/AIDS Related Care: We provide testing and supportive care at all location. See updated clinic hours above.
Insurance Navigation: Insurance navigators assist patients with insurance enrollment, including Medicaid and Medicare. Schedule an appointment by calling 773.388.1600 ext. 1079
Psychiatric Care: We now have staff on a mobile unit psychiatric care van who deliver and administer needed medication. Contact your psychiatric provider for details.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Services: We provide walk-in sexual and reproductive health services for people who are symptomatic at our Sheridan and 63rd St. locations.
Sexual Harm Response Services: Our sexual harm response team, In Power, offers telephone support in obtaining orders of protection, safety planning around harm in the house, and checking in with clients. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
Social Services: Our social workers assist patients navigate insurance and benefits, provide case management via electronic communication in obtaining referrals for essential services such as transportation, food, emergency rental and utility assistance and housing referrals, safety planning, budgeting, and employment support. Ask your medical provider for more information.
Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Surgical Navigation: Our TGNC navigators help folks complete letter writing processes for names, gender markers, and counseling in any way they can. Contact email@example.com for more information.
- Howard Brown Health at Thresholds South will be providing limited services for patients who need help with injectable medications or have urgent needs.
- All legal clinic appointments through the Legal Council for Health Justice will be conducted by phone.
