Support and Education Groups
Groups are offered that address the needs of those who just recently received an HIV diagnosis, to the issues faced by those who have been living with AIDS for years, and points in between. The Loving Positively series addresses the concerns of partners, friends and family members of those impacted by HIV. Living with this illness raises complicated issues for everyone, and group sessions offer an opportunity to share information and experiences with others in similar circumstances. Healthy ways of coping are emphasized along with mutual support.

Substance Abuse Recovery
Counseling, education and referrals allow people living with HIV/AIDS an opportunity to explore options for recovery from drug or alcohol dependence.

Individual Counseling
Coping with HIV/AIDS is the biggest emotional challenge many people will face in their life. Individual counseling is available for you if you are living with HIV/AIDS to provide emotional support and help you improve your quality of life.

Information and Referrals
Howard Brown has strong partnerships throughout the community, providing a network to address the varied needs of our clients. Staff member maintain up-to-date information on resources for legal advice, in-home care, emergency food and shelter, as well as other services not available at Howard Brown.
